Pay your own cab fare, Dan
BBC journalists often grill Ministers about the lack of transparency on expenditure, but Dan Walker, one of BBC Breakfast’s key presenters, appears to be trying to conceal that he is claiming a £200 return taxi journey between his family home in Sheffield and BBC Media
City in Salford. He earns about £260,000 a year. It beggars belief that he needs to claim these fares.

Why is the BBC paying taxi fares for highly paid presenters to go to and from work – particularly as it has resorted to making over-75s pay for a TV licence? It’s a disgrace, considering most of the working population have to finance their own means of getting to work.
