Fantastic Farooq a cut above rival in London

BOXING: Kash Farooq continued his rise up the bantamweight division with a unanimous decision victory over Nicaragua’s Alexander Espinoza at the Copper Box Arena in London last night.

The 25-year-old Scot was impressive in victory and claimed the WBC Silver title despite suffering a cut to the face in the ninth round.

Farooq (pictured) has only lost once in his career. That was to fellow Scot Lee McGregor and is now eyeing a rematch with his rival.
