Holliday’s double act! It’s twins joy for Strike star...

- By Padraic Flanagan

THE latest production from acting hotshots Holliday Grainger and Harry Treadaway boasts a larger cast than usual – thanks to the recent arrival of twins.

The doting parents were spotted last week enjoying a stroll with their newborns in Devon, where they moved soon after Holliday learned that she was expecting.

Last September, The Mail on Sunday revealed that work on the second series of her hit BBC drama The Capture had been put on hold due to her pregnancy.

However, it was not known until now that the 33-year-old, who also stars in the TV adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s Cormoran Strike novels, was expecting twins.

For Harry, who played Princess Margaret’s toyboy Roddy Llewellyn in The Crown, the new arrivals are an extra-special occasion as he is an identical twin himself.

The couple cradled the babies in papooses to protect them from the weather as they went windowshopping before having lunch at a small cafe.

‘It was a lovely, happy family outing,’ said an onlooker. ‘Even though both of the actors are on our TV screens all the time, no one paid them the slightest bit of attention. But the twins got a lot of admiring comments from groups of old ladies. Mum and Dad seemed delighted by that.’

Holliday plays Detective Inspector Rachel Carey in The Capture and stars as Strike’s sidekick Robin in the private detective series. Meanwhile, Harry, 36, will shortly appear as a detective in My Name Is Lizzie, Channel 4’s mini-series on the bungled undercover operation into the murder of Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common in 1992. His identical twin Luke is also an actor, seen recently in the ITV drama The Singapore Grip.
