The PM keeps his cool with an early dip
BORIS JOHNSON embraced the ‘wild swimming’ craze yesterday by taking a dip in the chilly waters off Carbis Bay – suitable preparation, perhaps, for the frosty reception he received from some EU leaders.
The Prime Minister went for a 7am jog before his dip – sticking to the exercise regime he adopted after his Covid ordeal last year. Boris said his battle with the virus was worsened by the fact he was ‘too fat’ – and vowed to shed weight. Ever since then he is regularly pursued by the paparazzi while exercising and on Friday was heard joking about photographers to the Queen.
‘They shot the a*** out of that one,’ he quipped, referring to the vast number of images taken during the traditional ‘family photo’ of assembled leaders at the G7.
