WITH her thigh-high boots and shock of blonde hair, Anne Hathaway appears to be following in Julia Roberts’s patent leather footsteps.
But while Pretty Woman’s Vivian Ward fell in love with her wealthy client, played by Richard Gere, it seems unlikely there will be a fairytale ending in Oscarwinner Anne’s latest project.
Hathaway, 38, was pictured filming the upcoming AppleTV+ series WeCrashed, based on the ‘greed-filled’ rise and fall of startup company WeWork. Once one of the world’s most valuable startups, the firm last month posted a $2.1billion (£1.49billion) loss.
She stars as Rebekah, the wife of co-founder Adam Neumann – played by Jared Leto – who was forced out in 2019 following allegations of erratic behaviour with a $1.7 billion (£1.2 billion) pay-off.

In a book about WeWork, former employees claimed Mr Neumann would play loud music, arrange meetings for 2am and demand cases of expensive tequila be present at every office he visited.
