Don’t play with guns

It was so sad to read about the death of police superintendent Henry Jemmott in Belize.

All weapons are dangerous and should be handled with care, especially where alcohol is involved. Accidents happen in an instant with devastating consequences.

Back in the 1980s, our friends’ 21-year-old soldier son was shot dead in Ireland, not in the line of duty, but by a superior while ‘mucking around’ with guns.
