Like Emma, I yearn for a baby at 45
I was interested to read Emma Bunton’s interview in last week’s You magazine.
Like Emma (left),
I am also debating whether to have another child at 45.
I wish I were ten years younger, but I didn’t meet my other half until I was 38 and had my first baby at 41.
I know I’m lucky to have one but you can’t deny the biological clock – which ticks especially loudly just before menopause. So I say good luck to you, Emma.

Emma should just have some fun with her other half and, if it happens, it happens.
If not, and she still wants another child, there are plenty of children in the world who need parents she could adopt.

As much as I hate to say it, 45 is getting on a bit to consider having another baby. Sometimes life just passes us by a little more quickly than we realise and our opportunities have gone. The trick is to look for alternatives rather than dwelling on what could have been.

Emma already has two healthy children. She should spare a thought for those women who have always longed to be a mother and never fell pregnant.
