Desperate Housewives can’t tempt sad Damian

HIS wife bravely told him to move on and have ‘lots of girlfriends’ before her tragic death in April – but I hear Damian Lewis is refusing to take instruction from the late Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory.

A friend of the 50-year-old Billions actor, left, who was in London last week filming a new season of the hit TV show, has revealed that Damian has been batting away women seeking to be his shoulder to cry on.

‘There’s been no shortage of female friends “dropping by” to see him and the children,’ says my source, who paints a picture of Desperate Housewives-style scenes, with glammed-up women dropping off platters of food in a bid to get their foot in the door with the hunky widower.

‘But Damian is not keen on venturing out on to the dating scene again. He’s still mourning Helen.’

Helen, pictured below with Damian, who was 52 when she died, left a hilarious parting message for her family: ‘You must all love again, love isn’t possessive, but you know, Damian, try at least to get through the funeral without snogging someone.’
