SAINTS BOUNCE BACK TO EARN WEMBLEY GLORY
A STUNNING second-half performance saw St Helens claim the Challenge Cup for the first time in 13 years as they came from 12-6 down at half-time to beat Castleford.
Castleford led at the break after converted tries from Niall Evalds and Jake Trueman overhauled the lead given to St Helens by Theo Fages and the boot of Lachlan Coote.
However, tries from James Roby, Tommy Makinson and Kyle Amor and another two conversions by Coote, who also added two penalties, gave Saints a first Wembley win since 2008.
Coach Kristian Woolf said: ‘It wasn’t a pretty win but they were tough and resilient.’
