From mother of dragons to mother of dachshund!

And Emilia Clarke’s pampered pet gets a £2,500 ride in the ultimate doggy bag

- By Jane Wharton

AS DAENERYS Targaryen in Game Of Thrones, she was the mother of fire-breathing dragons that brought death and destruction across Westeros. So it’s a relief to discover that in real life, Emilia Clarke is mother to a beast that does nothing more dangerous than poke its head out of a £2,500 doggy bag.

Miss Clarke was seen last week taking dachshund Ted for a stroll in North London. Wearing a floral top and shorts, the 34-year-old completed her look with a £2,500 Loewe flamenco bag, which doubled as a holder for her pet.

One onlooker said: ‘Emilia gently placed him in her bag, stroked him a few times to make sure he was comfortable and gave his neck a loving rub.’

The actress has made no secret of her love for Ted. On Instagram, she said: ‘He physically cannot stop being the MOST BEAUTIFUL PUPPY IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. Everyone meet Ted. Super Ted. My new main squeeze. Light of my goddamn life.’

Miss Clarke last week launched her first comic book, M.O.M: Mother Of Madness. It follows Maya, a single mother and chemical engineer, who uses her superhero powers to trace a ring of human traffickers.

The actress recently told showbusiness site Variety: ‘In doing my research, I found that 16 per cent of comic-book creators are female… and only 30 per cent of comic-book characters are female.

‘On the other hand, about half of comic-book buyers are women. Something did not sit well with me in that exchange, and all these signs told me to go do my own.’
