It’s Indiana Jones meets ‘Pirates’ in a delightful comedy

There are lots of big set-pieces in this epic action movie that has a strong Indiana Jones/Pirates Of The Caribbean feel and just a hint of The African Queen.

Like Pirates Of The Caribbean, it was loosely inspired by a Disneyland attraction. Riverboat skipper Frank Wolff (Dwayne Johnson) is hired to transport Dr Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt, right with Johnson) and her brother MacGregor (Jack Whitehall) up the Amazon to find an ancient tree with incredible medicinal properties. But they will have to overcome all sorts of challenges – both natural and supernatural – to succeed. Great fun, and Johnson and Blunt are the comedy double act you didn’t know you needed.
