Back to the truth about an icon of the 1980s

Mention DeLorean to any child of the 1980s and they’ll no doubt instantly think of Back To The Future – it was the make of car that transported Marty McFly through time. This absorbing three-part documentary profiles John DeLorean (right), the man behind the marque, whose story is as remarkable as that of any movie. He rose from being an engineer to launching his own company, but production delays led to its collapse. DeLorean was later charged with cocaine trafficking before being declared bankrupt – but he remains an icon in the motoring industry.
