A Country Life For Half The Price With Kate Humble

It was more than a decade ago that Kate Humble (right) gave up her London home for a new life on a farm in Monmouthshire. Now she follows families who have decided to make a similar move, many of them persuaded by the pandemic.

In the first of 12 episodes, Humble joins couple Richard and Dawn who, with their daughter Karli and son-in-law Matt and their three girls, are moving from the suburbs of Cardiff to a traditional loghouse in Mid Wales to enjoy a new, mortgage-free existence among several acres of landscaped gardens.

Though what lies ahead may at first appear to be an entrancing prospect, it will entail a lot of hard work to bring the estate back to full, spectacular life. Watch and decide whether you would take the plunge and try to live the dream.
