True cost of BBC switch

After you revealed licence-payers are helping to cover the BBC’s costs to ferry overpaid pundits to and from Salford, it is now obvious why the over-75s are having to pay their TV licence in full. We didn’t ask the BBC to leave London, so why should we pay for this error?

Alan Ward, Sleaford, Lincs It is nonsense to say it was a controversial decision to relocate some of the BBC’s programmes to the North of England. I am far from a champion of the BBC, but moving services out of London is a fantastic step forward for the country in general.
