DODD LIGHTS IT UP AT SIZZLING SUNNINGDALE

WELSHMAN Stephen Dodd rolled back the years in yesterday’s third round to lead the Senior Open Championship by two strokes.

Dodd posted a stunning round of 62 at Sunningdale to move to 11 under par and move two shots clear of American Jerry Kelly, with former Open Champion Darren Clarke within striking distance three shots back in third place.

Dodd carded nine birdies and one bogey in an incredible display.

Meanwhile. Spain’s Nacho Elvira holds a six-shot lead in the Cazoo Open at Celtic Manor, Wales.
