Super Furry Animal and solo artist Gruff Rhys (right) returns to Radio 4 for another offbeat look at crowd psychology. In the first of two programmes, he's asking what makes a good football song – although Super Furry Animals have already recorded their own, Bing Bong.

BBC Proms 2021 (Radio 3, 7.30pm) features the CBSO performing the London premiere of Thomas Adès's The Exterminating Angel Symphony.

In Afternoon Concert (Radio 3, 2pm) Ian Skelly presents highlights from two German festivals, including Nils Mönkemeyer playing Walton's Viola Concerto, and Haydn in Würzburg.
