Ignore greedy ‘stars’

In response to Jon Cole’s letter last week about celebrities endorsing goods, these people are not only behaving in an unethical way, they are also exceedingly greedy. Do they not earn enough anyway? I do my best to avoid buying goods advertised by celebrities.

Celebrities who support betting advertising should be ashamed of themselves. They obviously don’t care about the effect that betting can have, with sometimes devastating consequences for families.

Am I the only one who would be deterred from buying a product endorsed by a celebrity I dislike? Sometimes I wonder if advertisers take viewers for fools.
