After Boris Johnson’s clumsy reference to pit closures when Margaret Thatcher was PM, the SNP and Labour leaders rolled out their condemnation of such a crass statement. However, didn’t Nicola Sturgeon finish off coal extraction in Scotland by shutting down Longannet and Cockenzie power stations?
