A woman in love… with CDs

WITH a fortune of £300million, you’d expect Barbra Streisand to have a fleet of luxury cars. Not so. The megastar drives a battered old vehicle given to her by son Jason – whose father is Friends star Elliott Gould – because it still has a CD player.

‘Thank God my son gave me his car. It’s seven years old so it still has a CD player in it. I like to put my mixes on CD,’ reveals Oscar-winner Barbra, 79, whose 1980 song Woman In Love was a worldwide No1 hit. ‘Our Mercedes was costing a few thousand dollars a month and we weren’t using it so I gave it back. Jason gave me his car because he’d bought a Tesla. I love the car!’ Sadly, Barbra didn’t reveal what make the car is.

Barbra, right, once paid a fortune to have her dog cloned, so you might have thought she would shell out a few dollars for a mechanic to install a CD player in the Merc!
