Radio 4, 6.30pm To kick off a new series, Rufus Hound is joined by actress and singer Jane Horrocks (right), whose childhood diaries describe sunny days and crazy nights at the disco on holiday in Sorrento, Italy, in 1980.

Lavinia Blackwell, who previously sang in Glaswegian psych-folk outfit Trembling Bells and now performs with Wyndow alongside Laura J. Martin, joins Marc Riley (BBC 6 Music, 7pm).

Hannah French introduces an evening of jazz at the Royal Albert Hall in BBC Proms 2021 (Radio 3, 7.30pm). Camden Town-born saxophonist, composer, DJ and band leader Nubya Garcia makes her Proms debut.
