HARVEY JENKINSON, 39: SAILING ON
FAMILY: Tracy and son Finley, born just before lockdown, and two King Charles spaniels called Molly and Arthur. LIVES: Pocklington, East Yorkshire. HOBBIES: Sailing is a ‘lifelong passion’. Jenkinson worked as a yachtmaster for more than a decade in the Americas and his wife was a chef. He says: ‘Because we spent so long on the water, all of the little things, like having a garden were things we talked about having. One of the first things we did was have raised vegetable beds and a greenhouse.
We love growing vegetables, chillies for chilli jam, tomatoes, courgettes and carrots. It’s a nice switch-off.’ FAVOURITE TV: Below Deck – a US reality show about working on charter yachts. ‘It’s nice to reflect on what we did for so many years.
It’s incredibly hard work but it teaches a good work ethic and good time management because you never quite switch off.’
