Met must axe race tweet PC

It’s absolutely disgraceful that a Muslim police officer hailed as a role model for bravely confronting antilockdown protesters has tweeted a torrent of racist messages. The fact that Ruby Begum has been put on restricted duties by the Met isn’t good enough – she shouldn’t even be allowed inside a police station.

The tweets were from seven years ago, way before she joined the force. Leave the woman alone – she is doing a great job. We all say silly things when we are young.
