Will Love Island chiefs ever learn?

-

Love Island’s Faye Winter needs to be taken off the controversial reality show after she launched a foul-mouthed tirade against her on-screen partner, Teddy Soares.

I cannot believe Love Island bosses edited the programme in this way – even the girls were speechless. It wasn’t entertaining and Faye will suffer from it when she is out in the real world.

Have the producers learned nothing from the suicides of former contestants?

A. Griffin, London

Ironically, it’s actually the producers who are ‘gaslighting’ Faye. They’re preying on her insecurities to provoke the reaction they want for headlines. They claim to care about the contestants, but it seems they are happy to ruin their lives.

Mia Oliver, Brighton

I’m fed up with seeing people defending Faye’s actions. There is no excuse for her behaviour. Most of the contestants didn’t step in because they were scared of her, and those who did were abused in the same way as Teddy.

If she were a member of my family, I’d be absolutely mortified.

Louise Baker, Portsmouth

The producers should hang their heads in shame. All they have done is hang two people out to dry for money, rather than protecting them.

Polly Lewis, Liverpool
