Damien’s a diamond geezer for lover Sophie

HE famously covered a cast of a human skull in thousands of diamonds – so I’m wondering if that’s why artist Damien Hirst was tempted by this Rolex, above right, as a gift for his rumoured fiancee, ballerina Sophie Cannell. The watch is a £166,600 18-carat gold Pearlmaster studded with 713 gems.

It’s so spectacular that Sophie, above left with Damien, took to Instagram to show it off – along with a whopping great diamond engagement ring on her left hand.

Such a sparkler will do little to quell speculation that she and Damien, her boyfriend of three years, are engaged and ready to commit despite the 28-year age gap between them.
