Extremists given the green light
With typical hypocrisy, the SNP has just given Scotland a government no one voted for by agreeing a power sharing deal with the Scottish Greens. Despite virtually no support at the ballot box, co-leaders Patrick Harvie and Lorna Slater are likely to be given ministerial roles in what will be an anti-business, anti-jobs and anti-wealth Scottish government.
That such an extremist party can be handed a role in government is down to Nicola Sturgeon’s desperation for an independence-supporting majority at Holyrood.
Ms Sturgeon says the status quo is not sustainable, but that is what she has given us with the same old flawed arguments on independence, Brexit and continuing grievances against Westminster and the UK.
