KILLED AT THE PUSH OF A BUTTON 7,350 MILES AWAY

-

Drones are operated from Nevada’s Creech US Air Force base – a remote desert area an hour’s drive from Las Vegas. A crew of 600 pilots and 350 other staff work in teams in three-hour shifts around the clock. Two ‘pilots’ sit behind a bank of screens, switches and buttons. One flies the drone and fires the missiles while his colleague operates the camera and fixes the laser on to the target – which can be as small as a pane of glass.
