Pupils of old were bonkers for conkers...
GAMES of conkers, chips for lunch and playing a recorder badly are among the things Britons miss most about their school days, a study has found.
As parents prepare to send their children back to the classroom, researchers polled mums and dads around their own experiences of school life.
More than a third (37 per cent) said putting PVA glue on their hands and peeling it off was their favourite memory, with school discos (32 per cent) and spelling rude words on a calculator (30 per cent) also making the list.
But half of the adults polled by Stabilo UK said they had forgotten the majority of what they were taught at school.
