I’d take a chance on ABBA’s project being special
SWEDISH superstars ABBA have been teasing fans by announcing a new project – ABBA Voyage – and asking them to register online.
Pop royalty, the foursome have previously said they’re going to release new music for the first time in nearly four decades this year. There is some speculation that ABBA Voyage will turn out to be the heavily trailed hologram tour the band have been hinting at for years. If that includes a host of new songs, then there’s likely to be a lot of interest worldwide.
Given the sort of ticket prices that bands charge for stadium gigs, I would like to know the artists I have paid to see were actually going to put in the work, rather than simply sending a beamed-in light show instead.
But Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha and Anni-Frid have had a golden touch down the years. I would not put it past the band to reinvent what ‘live’ music means.
