TV presenter Dr Lucy Worsley, Chief Curator at Historic Royal Palaces and author of Jane Austen At Home: A Biography, will join you on this memorable break in Bath, where she will share her knowledge of Austen’s life and work.

Exclusive talk by Dr Lucy Worsley: Jane Austen lived in Bath between 1801 and 1806, and historian Lucy will give a fascinatin­g talk about the places that mattered to the author, many of which you’ll have an opportunit­y to visit on this trip.

Visit the Jane Austen Centre: Lucy will join you at the Jane Austen Centre, which is set in one of Bath’s classicall­y decorated townhouses with guides in period costume, and on a literary-themed walking tour of the city. At the Jane Austen Centre, you’ll get a feel for what it was like to live in Regency times and explore how the period impacted Jane Austen’s writing.

See Jane Austen’s home: You’ll also see Jane Austen’s house in Chawton, Hampshire, where she wrote, revised and published all six of her novels, as well as Chawton House, which was once owned by her brother Edward and was referred to in Jane’s letters as ‘the Great House’.

Trips to TV locations: On your final day you’ll visit two instantly recognisab­le Austen filming locations: the village of Lacock in Wiltshire and the 18th Century Palladian mansion Basildon Park, near Reading, both used in brilliant adaptation­s of Pride And Prejudice.
