HENDRY IS A WANTED MAN
A NUMBER of English clubs are considering a late, cut-price move for Scotland international centreback Jack Hendry.
The 26-year-old only joined Oostende on a permanent deal at the start of the window as the Belgians took up a £1.8million option to sign him from Celtic after he impressed on loan last season.
However, Oostende are open to making a quick profit on the 6ft 5ins centre-back who was voted player of the year in Belgium last season.
The former Dundee defender has attracted enquiries from Burnley, Southampton, West Brom, Sheffield United and Newcastle, while Italian side Torino are also interested.
Oostende value Hendry at around the £8m mark but Sportsmail understands a deal could be struck for around £4m, which has alerted clubs looking for a late bargain.
Hendry made 30 appearances at Oostende last season and started for Scotland in the opening Euro 2020 game against the Czech Republic.
