ELTON? YES, HE’S STILL STANDING

IT may be one of the longest goodbyes in pop history.

Elton John announced his final Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour back in 2018 and he’s still adding tour dates.

The flamboyant showman has just announced he’ll play the BST Hyde Park concert as his final London gig next year. The outdoor event has been cancelled for the past two years because of Covid, along with 300 other Elton gigs in cities across the globe.

With that itinerary, he’s entering Rolling Stones territory, and this week he released a new album, The Lockdown Sessions.

Elton may be 74, but it seems the Rocketman has few plans to slow down.
