Alma’s Not Normal

Last April, with little fanfare, the pilot episode of a proposed sitcom appeared. Written by and starring Sophie Willan, it introduced us to optimistic, if hopeless, Alma, her drug addict mother and her odd best mate. It also won a Bafta for Willan’s script and was picked up for a full series. That’s available via the BBC iPlayer from today, but don’t miss another chance to see the pilot tonight. ★★★★★
