The drama remake returns for a second series, and vet James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph, below) has been offered a job working with his mentor in his native Glasgow, much to his parents' joy. However, a trip back to the Dales reminds James that there are also some strong incentives for staying in Yorkshire – including a certain Helen Alderson, who he hasn't seen much of since she left her fiancé at the altar.
