Keep calm and travel, Maureen!

Poor Maureen Lipman and her experience of travel, as she reported in The Mail on Sunday last week.

I sympathise but wonder how it all got so bad. I’ve been to Berlin and back with no problems whatsoever. Yes there are forms to complete to get into Germany and back into the UK, but there is nothing complicated.

My advice is to check and check again that you have the right documentation, print it all off – and remain calm.

It really is sad that travel, once so pleasurable, has been turned into an absolute nightmare. So many places I would still love to visit but I just don’t think I have the stamina to put myself through the ordeal of it all.
