TWO horses drawn either side of the track were always prominent in the Ayr Gold Cup. Trainer Kevin Ryan won Scotland’s richest Flat race for the fifth time with BIELSA who hugged the stands’ side rail under a superbly judged ride from Kevin Stott. He beat hot favourite and the highly regarded Great Ambassador. Both horses impressed and can hold their own in Group company in the future.
