Big win for Rennie’s Aussies... but All Blacks return to No 1
RUGBY: Former Glasgow Warriors boss Dave Rennie (pictured) recorded one of his most significant wins as head coach of Australia after a 30-17 home victory over world champions South Africa.
Len Ikiteau and Marika Korobete both scored two tries as Rennie’s Wallabies kept their faint hopes of winning the Rugby Championship alive.
New Zealand beat Argentina 36-13 in the other game of the tournament yesterday. With the All Blacks winning and the Springboks losing, it means New Zealand will leapfrog South Africa to return as the No 1 ranked nation in the world.
DARTS: Fallon Sherrock evoked memories of her historic 2019 World Championship run to the fourth round by reaching the final of the Nordic Masters last night. Sherrock defeated Belgian ace Dimitri Van den Bergh in the semi-final after coming back from 9-3 down to win 11-10. She was beaten in the final
11-7 by Dutchman Michael Van Gerwen in Copenhagen.
