THE potential reputational damage to the BBC posed by this newspaper’s revelations about Martin Bashir and the Babes in the Wood scandal was laid bare last weekend by one of the Corporation’s biggest names.

Showing our front page, right, during his Sunday morning current affairs show, Andrew Marr said: ‘The BBC has a really grim bit of reading in The Mail on Sunday. This is another Martin Bashir related story… and it’s tough stuff for BBC people to read.’
