Hunt for sex attacker who’s struck 7 times in a month
POLICE are hunting a serial sex attacker who has targeted at least seven women in separate incidents in London in the space of just a month.
Each of the reported incidents was carried out in Bow and Whitechapel in the East End. On each occasion, the suspect cycled up behind a woman before either exposing himself or carrying out a sexual assault.
Police said the suspect also performed a sex act on himself during at least four of the attacks.
Last night, the Met released grainy CCTV footage of the man on a bicycle and appealed for help to identify him. The images show him wearing a black zip hoody, grey jogging pants with a thick black stripe from hip to knee, a chequered baseball cap and possibly a bike lock around his neck.
Police said he usually wears a medical mask during the attacks. His bicycle is described as black and silver.
Six of the attacks – which occurred between August 30 and September 29 – were carried out at night on residential streets. The other incident was reported to have happened at 11am.
