Osborne’s fine bromance
I’M SURE most men would love a man-cave to escape to – the only trouble for George Osborne is that someone has already nabbed his.
In an unorthodox arrangement, Malcolm Hord, who sold his £1.6million Somerset home to the former Chancellor last year, kept a property in the garden and still uses it. Fortunately, Osborne has formed a ‘bromance’ with Hord, a kindly widower in his 70s. A source tells me: ‘Malcolm built a little cottage for himself then put the property on the market.’ George and partner Thea Rogers don’t seem to mind. The local adds: ‘It’s all good-natured. Malcolm and George adore each other.’
