WITH her head for numbers, it’s no surprise that former Countdown star Carol Vorderman has pocketed a tidy profit from selling her five-bedroom Somerset party pad.

She bought Sloblock Hall – named after a risque Fry and Laurie sketch spoofing Countdown – in 2007 for £1.1million.

Carol, 60, first put the secluded modern house close to Bristol on the market in 2016 for £2.6 million.

Now my West Country mole says: ‘She’s accepted an offer close to the asking price.’
