If Beale Street Could Talk

Writer-director Barry Jenkins’ followup to the Oscar-winning Moonlight is another compelling drama. This time it’s based on James Baldwin’s novel about Tish and Fonny (KiKi Layne and Stephan James, above), whose lives are torn apart when he’s wrongly accused of committing a crime.
