Vanessa gives mother of all performances

SHE wowed audiences as Princess Margaret in The Crown, but if Vanessa Kirby, right, fancies starring in another period drama, I’ve got just the show: Call The Midwife.

Since playing an expectant mum in the film Pieces Of A Woman, Vanessa, 33, can’t stop handing out pregnancy and birthing advice.

Vanessa, who shadowed midwives for the Oscar-nominated role, says: ‘Whenever I see a pregnant lady, I feel so connected to them, but then I feel like such a fraud because obviously I haven’t done it at all – I’m just an actress who’s pretended.’

FASHIONISTA Susannah Constantine wants shop assistants to know she’s not a thief… despite constantly taking items outside before she’s paid for them. Her habit stems from a mistrust of changing-room mirrors. ‘They distort you,’ she says. ‘So I’ll put something on and say, “Can you take the tag off, I’m going out”.
