HIBERNIAN APPOINT OWNER’S SON AS HEAD OF RECRUITMENT

HIBS have appointed Ian Gordon, son of club owner Ron, as the new head of recruitment at Easter Road.

The move follows the departure of the club’s sporting director Graeme Mathie last month.

Hibs have yet to formally announce Gordon Jr’s appointment but his name has been added to the list of football staff on the club’s official website, his name featuring just below manager Jack Ross and his firstteam coaching staff.

Ian Gordon had previously been utilised as a ‘technical scout’ and helped broker the deal to bring American Chris Mueller to the club from Orlando City, a transfer that will take effect in January.
