A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ALISON ROSE, 52
7.30AM Rose arrives at NatWest’s London head office, at 250 Bishopsgate in the City. MORNING She hosts a twice-weekly executive committee meeting with her most senior bankers to discuss the big issues of the week.
LUNCH Either a lunch meeting with politicians or major shareholders, or in the office. AFTERNOON Zoom or inperson chats with colleagues across the bank. Rose often spends a couple of hours with customers at a local branch. Then it’s back to her desk to work through emails. EVENING Dinner or meeting representatives of trade bodies, shareholders or policy-makers. Rose will head home with a selection of complaint letters from customers. She will read them at the weekend and reply personally.
