Tom Cruise (above) is well cast against type in Michael Mann’s stylish thriller. He plays suave silver-haired hitman Vincent, who hijacks taxi driver Max (Jamie Foxx) and forces him to stop at a variety of LA locations where he carries out his gruesome business. Realising that his participation will end with his demise, Max tries to escape. ★★★★★
