Is COP26 a cop-out?
Green is good, but are we good to go? For allowing people from around the world to congregate in Glasgow for COP26, the consequential carbon footprint of that becomes a contradiction in itself.
So much so that a United Nations carbon offset has been factored in, with hectare upon hectare of reforestation to supposedly make up for all the indiscretion and baggage that comes with it.
Half-hearted anecdotes about us being guardians of our planet, our climate and beyond won’t keep our homes warmer in the winter.
