Sheridan is a true talent

-

She may be a regular on our TV screens, as you reported last week, but I think that’s because Sheridan Smith (left) is a great actress, as was recently proven in The Teacher on Channel 5. The only negative of that drama was the poor ending. Siobhan Campbell, Stockport

If you have seen Sheridan in one TV show, you have seen them all. She plays the same type of character with the same storyline.

T. Roberts, Devon

I’m not irked just because we are inundated with shows featuring the same people such as Sheridan Smith. What gets me is the way we are expected to watch the children of regulars such as Bradley Walsh and Martin Kemp thrown into the spotlight ahead of those who deserve it. Nepotism at its finest.

Patrick Peterson, Manchester

Sheridan Smith gives it her all to make whatever character she is playing believable. I bet she would be great to sit down and have a chat with. She seems so down-to-earth.

D. Edwards, Kirklees

Smith is great at what she does, but having all these dramas so close together is just bad scheduling. It does make me think that many producers are not looking for new talent and are simply reliant on a few household favourites.
