ROBSON WINNER HELPED DYLAN DECIDE ON LOAN

- GRAEME CROSER

DYLAN LEVITT had not yet signed off on his loan move from Manchester United when Rangers last visited Tannadice.

But while the Welsh midfielder missed out on the visit of Steven Gerrard’s side last August, he watched intently as Jamie Robson scored an unlikely winner.

Robson’s goal consigned Gerrard’s team to a first Premiership defeat in 17 months, a recent enough turn-up for the books that might help offset any trepidation felt in the wake of Rangers’ astonishing 4-2 win away to Borussia Dortmund in midweek.

Injured when the teams met subsequently at Ibrox in the midst of a wretched run of December defeats, Levitt is looking forward to finally facing last season’s Premiership champions.

He said: ‘It will be my first time against Rangers, a team I have always wanted to play against.

‘I watched the game when Jamie scored. It was a few weeks before I moved but there had been talks about it, so I decided to tune in.

‘It did play a little part in my decision but I was also attracted to the size of the club and everything that comes with it too.

‘The experience will be good for me. We are going into it with a game-plan that we think is going to work.’
