Brian goes Ga Ga

SOCIAL media has been awash with vapid celebs paying lip service to Ukraine and the tragic events unfolding there. But Queen guitarist Brian May, left, surely took first prize for the most crass post. It was so cringeworthy he saw sense and quickly deleted it – but not before it had been viewed more than 30,000 times.

Salivating over his new watch collaboration with Seiko, Brian, 74, posted a picture of a newly acquired timepiece and cooed: ‘I’m finding it hard to smile today, knowing that in Ukraine people are dying and families are being ripped apart. But this just arrived and makes me feel proud and honoured.

How extraordinary is life on Earth.’
