Colin Firth (above) deservedly won an Oscar for his portrayal of Bertie, the younger son of George V, who turns to an unconventional speech therapist (Geoffrey Rush) for help with his stutter. The lessons take on an added urgency when Edward VIII abdicates and Bertie becomes King George VI. ★★★★★
